Hello Church Family!
This is Lisa Dyk checking in with all of you after our 4th day of the conference in Nairobi. Thank you so much for your faithful prayers. I spoke on Esther and on spiritual warfare today so I especially needed the prayers. It is wonderful to be here ministering with Marieke. I feel a great weight of responsibility teaching God's Word to these beautiful God-fearing women. Each day is tough, but is driving all of us to our knees.
I am trying to learn as much as I can about the culture in the short time I have here and I am enjoying the food and natural hospitality of the people. We are encouraged by brothers and sisters in the Lord so far away who are bravely living out their faith.
We thought there might be some trouble due to the swearing in of Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday but it was a national holiday and the Kenyans in general seemed pleased by the outcome.
Please keep praying for us! Lisa
Praying and love hearing these updates!
ReplyDeleteDear ladies and gents,
ReplyDeleteHow great to read the updates. We have been praying (late and early each day to conform to your activity times) and are gratified to hear NOTHING of health issues with your team. Thank you Lord that only spiritual matters are the focus.
Safe travels for your return Monday.
Love from Whitney and the Hope prayer warriors.
